Configuring Sentinel Cloud Plug-in (SCP)
The different options to configure SCP are listed in the table below. You can choose an option depending upon the licensing environment on the customer's site (deployment mode). In addition, you must also check for the platforms supported in each case.
Deployment Mode | SCP Configuration Options | Choosing the SCP Configuration Option |
---|---|---|
Standalone Lease mode |
>Using the SCP configuration file >Using the Unified API |
Using the SCP Configuration File You can configure SCP by editing the SCP configuration file as guided in the Sentinel Cloud Licensing (SCL) Add-on Installation and Configuration Guide. >Customers can change the configuration file settings themselves. In this case, you need to point them to the document referred to above. >Otherwise, you need to set the values on their behalf (after obtaining details from them) and ship the SCP configuration file along with the licensed application redistributables. Using the Unified API (Introduced Since v9.7.2) For Standalone Lease mode, SCP-integrated licensing library is to be used. The library is available for Windows, Linux. Mac, Android, and Linux ARM. Since v9.7.2 onward, you can use the same Unified API provided for RMS licensing library configuration for configuring SCP. You can find details about the API in the sections for C, Java, and .NET. |
Network Lease mode |
